Cedar thrives in a damp climates and which naturally enhances the weather-resistance of the wood. There are numerous varieties of cedar and while the different growths share benefits, the appearance, grain and texture differ between each type.

The variety of grains and the natural beauty of cedar make it an excellent choice for decorative structures like pergolas or gazebos. Examples of our customers projects can be found here.

Cedar does not shrink, warp or swell like similar lumber even under extreme humidity changes. It also provides excellent thermal insulation due to numerous air-cavities within the wood. It is naturally sound resistant and makes a great choice for fencing or exterior sound barriers.

It is commonly used as decking, siding, trim, blinds and shutters and for landscaping. Cedar is also a natural bug repellent and will naturally outlast similar lumber even in direct contact with the ground.
